How It Works

People often describe my custom cartoons as gentle good humor, and I like to think the process of creating them is much the same. Here’s how it works:

  • 1 Idea

    Tell me what you’d like you cartoon to be about. I’ll write up a few funny ideas and email them over. Let me know what you like and what you’d like to change. Or you can write your own; that’s good too.

  • 2 Sketch

    Next I’ll email over some line art. Again, let me know what you like and what you’d like to change.

  • 3 Shade/Color

    I’ll shade and/or color the aproved line art and email over your ready-to-use custom cartoon. Easy!

  • How do we get started?

    Choose a package and fill in the info. I’ll email you and we’ll start working out the details of your cartoons.

  • Should I choose gray or color?

    It depends. Line art and gray wash cartoons are more traditional and convey sophistication. They’re great for newsletters, presentations, annual reports and textbooks. Color cartoons are more modern and eye-catching. They’re good for advertising, websites, calendars and promotional items. (If you pick the Premium option you don’t have to choose!)

  • What if I don’t like the sketch I receive?

    That’s what revisions are for.

  • How long does it take?

    Custom cartoons are generally delivered within one week of your approval of the sketch.

  • When do I pay?

    After delivery of your cartoon.

  • What format will I get my cartoon in?

    Your custom cartoon will be delivered as a 300 DPI JPEG. If you need something else, just let me know.

  • Who owns the copyright?

    You do.
